In terms of administrative divisions, according to the Salnameh Mutasarrifiyya of Mount Lebanon 1306 AH – 1888 AD, the number of villages in the Jezzine district is 99, and in the Jezzine district 42, while according to the Salnameh the Mutasarrifate of Mount Lebanon 1307 AH – 1889 AD, the number of villages in the district of Jezzine is 107, and in the Jezzine district 61, and the number of municipalities in Jezzine district is 1. According to Vital Kenya, the number of villages in the same district is 107. This is what gives the Jezzine district a qualitative administrative and organizational importance at the level of the Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate.
The Mutasarrifa of Mount Lebanon was formed from the following cazas: Chouf, Batroun, Matn, Jezzine, Kesrouan, Zahle, Koura, and Kasbah Deir al-Qamar. While Jezzine district was formed from the following areas: Jezzine, Tofah District, Jebel Rihan.

As for the economic variables, according to the Salnameh Mutasarrifiyya of Mount Lebanon 1306 AH – 1888 AD, in the district of Jezzine 116 shops and 32 oil mills, while in the district of Jezzine 114 shops and 14 oil mills. This makes Jezzine district in an economically positive position in relation to the Mutasarrifiyya, and the Jezzine district in an economically excellent position in relation to the district.
As for the official educational variables, according to the Sanameh Mutasarrifiyya of Mount Lebanon 1306 AH – 1888 AD, there are 35 schools in the Jezzine district (ie 11% as a percentage), and in the Jezzine district there are 23 schools, and this is what makes Jezzine, the city, the sub-district, and the district, a center of scientific, educational and cultural radiation. Very important, on a management level.

As for religious institutions, according to Salnameh, the Mutasarrifat of Mount Lebanon, 1306 AH – 1888 AD, in the district of Jezzine there are 8 mosques, 43 churches and 6 monasteries, and in the Jezzine district 4 mosques, 23 churches and 6 monasteries, and this is what made Jezzine, the city, the sub-district, and the district, in the location of the land of harmony between Families, sects and sects, as for the Mutasarrifiyya of Mount Lebanon

On the demographic level, according to the Sanameh Mutasarrifi of Mount Lebanon 1306 AH – 1888 AD, the number of assigned males in the Jezzine district is 5432 (54% Maronite, 29% Greek Catholic, 13% Shiite, 2% Sunni, and 2% Greek Orthodox). The Maronites of Jezzine District constituted 5% of the Maronites of the Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate!! The district of Jezzine, with a Christian majority and a Maronite majority, was at the time of the Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate, a meeting place for families and sects, and a center of dialogue and communication of high importance!!
